About The Position

The Business Operations Analyst 3 serves as a strategic partner to the Department Chair and the Department Administrator, managing high-level operations and complex departmental initiatives. This role is responsible for the seamless execution of business tasks, including managing intricate executive calendars, tracking critical budget and evaluation deadlines, and maintaining essential process documentation and staff directories. As a project leader, the incumbent standardizes internal workflows such as staff onboarding and offboarding while serving as a primary liaison between HR, Finance, and IT to ensure operational alignment. Beyond administrative oversight, the position provides vital financial and data support by assisting with budget reconciliation, drafting justifications, and analyzing departmental metrics to inform strategic planning and leadership presentations. The incumbent actively builds institutional knowledge by shadowing executive meetings and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge management system. The incumbent is expected to transition from preparing materials for executive sessions to co-leading subcommittees and representing the department in specialized cross-unit groups, such as the Vestibular and Cosmetic centers. By managing marketing initiatives, identifying efficiency improvements, and serving as a delegated decision-maker in the Administrator's absence, this individual ensures organizational continuity. Ultimately, the role combines meticulous operational management with mentorship and strategic support to drive the department’s long-term clinical, research and administrative goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of relevant experience
