About The Position

The Business Operations Officer will provide comprehensive administrative support for the Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery within the Division of Molecular Pharmaceutics. Responsibilities include purchasing, procurement, contract administration, general administrative services – facilities and space management, safety, property oversight, as well as human resources services as needed by the Director and/or PI to support related projects. This position holds day-to-day management authority over Center-related management of grants, budgeting, and financial operations, including billing and monitoring payments for the Center’s core facilities. The role of this position is defined and impacted by the mutual working relationship established with the Director and role demands strong financial management skills, attention to detail, decision making, and dependable action. Public contact is a major component of this position. The job involves regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, other units, other universities, clients, service recipients, funding agencies, and the public, and serves as the principal administrative support for the Center. The Business Operations Officer is expected to manage these functions independently and reliably, without requiring daily oversight or follow-up. Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on research needs, project deadlines, and operational requirements.
