Gas Stipend- for those students who are driving more than 50 miles, AFL will offer a gas stipend to alleviate some of that financial burden Great Pay! 401K Company match (up to 4%- dollar for dollar) Job Summary The Business Operations Intern will support strategic and operational projects across the Data Center Business Unit, including initiatives coordinated through the Chief of Staff organization. This role will provide exposure to business operations, reporting, project coordination, and leadership support within a global technology business. The intern will assist with data analysis, reporting, meeting preparation, project tracking, and cross-functional coordination to enable operational excellence and strategic alignment across the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Completion of sophomore or junior year in a business, analytics, operations, or related program preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel; Power BI or PowerPoint experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in strategy, business operations, or technology environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Japanese language proficiency (verbal and written) a plus for collaborating with international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of business reviews, town halls, leadership meetings, and operational cadences.
  • Assist with data analysis, KPI tracking, and dashboard maintenance (Excel, Power BI).
  • Help gather inputs, organize information, and prepare materials for strategic initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with engineering, operations, product, and go-to-market teams by helping organize inputs, notes, follow-ups, and status updates.
  • Assist in tracking project timelines, risks, and deliverables for operational and strategic programs under the guidance of business leaders.
  • Maintain documentation, action logs, and reporting repositories for leadership visibility.
  • Assist with preparing presentation materials, templates, and meeting summaries for the Chief of Staff office.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support recommendations for process improvements and organizational efficiency.
