About The Position

ATA Services Inc. is seeking a Business Operations Analyst for a temporary assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This position primarily supports central supplies warehouse operations, encompassing the maintenance, control, and distribution of various supplies, forms, titles, and license plates. Key duties involve operating warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as managing order fulfillment and shipping via UPS. The role also includes administrative tasks such as documenting purchase requisitions, invoices, and supply orders, and utilizing WASP and Tapestry database systems for order entry and export. The analyst will provide support to both internal and external customers, participate in inventory counts (quarterly and annually), and make necessary adjusting entries in WASP. Additionally, the position is responsible for cataloging and preparing equipment for disposal.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Forklift certification
  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain support
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes (e.g., UPS or similar carriers)
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Proficiency in data entry and use of inventory/database systems (e.g., WASP, Tapestry, or similar systems)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government or public sector operations
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, purchase requisitions, and invoice tracking
  • Prior experience supporting inventory audits or cycle counts
  • Background in handling-controlled materials such as titles, forms, or license plates

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift and pallet jack
  • Pull and ship orders through UPS
  • Assist with documentation of purchase requisitions, invoices, and supply orders
  • Enter and export orders using the WASP and Tapestry database systems
  • Provide support to both internal and external customers
  • Participate in quarterly and annual inventory counts
  • Create adjusting entries in WASP as needed
  • Ensure all equipment received for disposal is properly cataloged and prepared for the disposal process
  • Apply advanced research and/or management analysis to complex problems
  • Act as a team leader for special projects and provide coordination with computer systems personnel
  • Apply advanced program analyses, oversight, and planning and consultation services to/for Local Governments
  • Deal with complex interrelated management problems and may serve as consultants on local, district, state, regional, or federal comprehensive planning programs
  • Perform independently, have special expertise in a field and may be involved in the training of others
  • Program management functions with expertise in a field or occupation and may function as a consultant, requiring high levels of complexity, problem solving, and/or accountability
  • Operate independently within diversified procedures and standards
  • May handle deposits and cash transactions
  • Proactively interact with staff members and customers to directly influence and impact results of the programs and agency mission
