SummaryThe Business Operations Analyst Sr provides coordination and support to ensure the effective functioning of Transportation Operations processes and systems. This role supports and monitors business systems and data sources to ensure they are functioning properly and available for business use, including analytics and reporting. The analyst evaluates business processes and data to proactively identify issues, risks, and opportunities, and provides data-driven recommendations to improve performance and efficiency. The analyst develops dashboards, visualizations, and standardized reports to communicate insights and support decision-making, ensuring data integrity and consistency. The role leads or supports moderate to complex projects, documents business processes and requirements, and partners with cross-functional teams to implement technology-enabled solutions. The position may mentor less tenured personnel and requires a strong understanding of business operations, systems, and industry standards.Minimum Requirements BS/BA equivalency or an equivalent combination of four years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology or a related area. An additional five (5) years of progressively responsible experience where strong understanding of business unit operations, business unit systems, database design, structure, functions and work processes and experience with database tools is obtained. Experience supporting system maintenance, upgrades, and user interface functionality. Demonstrated knowledge of business and operational processes, including functions, procedures, workflows, and computer systems. Demonstrated experience working on projects and teams, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify relationships and patterns, and communicate insights effectively. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Ability to review data, see relationships and patterns, as well as possess strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Experience managing projects and identifying, tracking, and resolving issues. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, and SQL applications. Proficient knowledge of emerging practices and technologies relevant to the business area. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and standards impacting the business area. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
