The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) works to support networks, schools, and families with all issues related to special education including instruction, interventions, and legal and compliance support. OSD supports strategic utilization of resources, aligning them to our strategic plan and district priorities, to increase student achievement. Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Business Operations Administrator will be responsible for administering OSD’s day to day logistical operations, strategic planning processes, and coordinating and leading cross-functional projects. In addition, they will be responsible for streamlining organizational structures and processes for the department. This role will be working collaboratively with senior leadership and department teams to develop and implement procedural and policy standards for each function of the department and in compliance with the IDEA, ADA, EEOC, and other relevant policies and regulations. This is a full-time exempt position that will be paid for time worked on a salary basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in program management and/or project management in education or nonprofit sector required
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to develop data-driven KPIs and visualizations
  • Ability to deliver high quality projects in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to supervise staff and develop a high performing team
  • Knowledge of IDEA, ADA, EEOC, and other relevant policies and procedures
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects
  • Ability to lead major initiatives from inception to completion and effectively lead project teams and workgroups composed of multidisciplinary units
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong collaborative skills; including working with multiple teams
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, listening, and writing)
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and resources

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years leading the full lifecycle of a program and/or project management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and streamline operational workflows, partnering with subject matter experts and OSD leadership to implement robust process controls and develop risk management plans that ensure fidelity to project specifications and strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards
  • Establish and manage robust KPI frameworks to evaluate departmental performance, identify sub-optimal trends through data visualization and propose data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Supervise, develop, and manage performance of a team of direct reports providing support in the following areas, including but not limited to, OSD talent coordination, call center operations, communications, and office administration
  • Facilitate the Office’s strategic planning processes; Consult and advise teams within the office and collaborate with senior leadership on any findings
  • Administer day to day logistical operations for the office
