Position Summary: The Team Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with software applications are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire billing process, including the preparation, submission, and follow-up of claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers.
  • Ensure all billing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
  • Review and process claims for accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly
  • Monitor and manage the revenue cycle, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize financial performance
  • Manage patient accounts, including billing inquiries, payment plans, and account reconciliations
  • Generate and analyze billing reports, providing insights and recommendations to management
  • Work closely with clinical staff, administrative personnel, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure seamless operations
  • Provide training and support to junior billing staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position
