Under direct supervision, the Business Office Receptionist performs oral and clerical tasks to efficiently handle a heavy volume of incoming business; i.e., phone calls, walk-ins. Processes mail. Core Competencies Answers and handles questions from patients/public. Refers to appropriate account representative or other hospital personnel. Answers and handles a heavy volume of incoming calls. Understands basic computer programs. Processes mail, enter note codes and distributes. Processes all credit card payments and payments received from patients. Processes subpoenas, billing requests and requests for insurance information.
