About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Office Manager who has strong Accounts Receivable skills, prior supervisory experience and a knack for project management and analytics. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and contributing to the overall success of our organization. This is an on-site role located on our Goleta, California campus. The Business Office Manager will work under the supervision of the Director and Finance. Devereux California offers comprehensive services for adults with disabilities, including licensed residential group homes with 24-hour supervision, supported and independent living options, and an adult day program that provides a variety of activities focused on personal development. Additionally, they offer advanced behavioral and clinical services for individuals with significant behavioral challenges, encouraging family involvement in the treatment process. These services aim to create a safe, therapeutic, and inclusive environment for all individuals served. Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting required. Will be waived if candidate possesses an Associate’s Degree or relevant certificate in Business or Accounting with at least (5) years of progressive business office management experience.
  • EXPERIENCE: Two years of supervisory experience in related field required.
  • Good documentation and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of sophisticated financial information systems as well as proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and Oracle financial systems, Essbase applications and a variety of PC-based tools.
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to analyze processes and conceptualize solutions.
  • Requires an ability to prepare clear, concise documentation and procedures, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of A/R, A/P, payroll, purchasing, facilities and IT functions
  • Management of department staff and coordination with other departments to support the financial viability of the center’s operations
  • Work collaboratively with corporate offices to ensure that financial policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with established internal and external accounting practices
  • Ensure Financial Polices and procedures are performed in compliance with applicable regulatory and licensing agencies
