About The Position

The Business Office Manager performs and/or monitors the performance of all Business Office operations, including supervision of Business Office staff. In the absence of the Clinic Administrator and/or Associate Clinic Administrator, the Business Office Manager supervises the functions and operations of the entire NEVHC Health Center.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate degree with previous business office experience. Bachelor's degree is desirable. (Two years of related office experience may be substituted for one year of college.
  • Three years progressive responsibility in health care, with two years experience of direct supervision and a minimum of two years experience working with low income populations.
  • If position is located at a School Base Clinic, employee must be willing to submit fingerprints in a manner authorized by the California Department of Justice and have no adverse findings.
  • A working knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare and other state insurance billing and collections.
  • Fluency in English (speak, read and write) with a thorough working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation.
  • Fluency in Spanish (speak, translate, read and write) is required.
  • Math skills sufficient to prepare routine spreadsheets, calculate/balance invoices/expense reports, calculate income for patient eligibility purposes and similar.
