Requirements

  • Previous SNF experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, PDPM, CalAIM, managed care, and commercial insurance
  • Experience with accounts receivable and collections in a healthcare setting
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Professional communication skills
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and solutions-focused

Responsibilities

  • Assist with billing and collections for all payor sources
  • Manage and follow up on: Medi-Cal Medicare (Part A & B) PDPM reimbursement CalAIM Commercial/managed care plans VA contracts
  • Review accounts receivable and proactively pursue collections
  • Verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate billing setup
  • Collaborate with admissions, MDS, and clinical teams to ensure appropriate reimbursement
  • Assist residents and families with billing questions and financial paperwork
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
