About The Position

The Business Manager at Provenance Wealth Advisors (PWA) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational, client service, and strategic functions of a Lead Advisor Unit. This role requires a high level of autonomy and authority to lead cross-functional teams, manage high-touch client relationships, and serve as the central point of coordination between Advisors, clients, and internal departments. The Business Manager leads the daily execution and strategic alignment of client service operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client experience, operational excellence, and business continuity. This position plays a critical role in advising team leaders, identifying efficiencies, and driving firm-wide service initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years in financial services, including leadership of multi-functional teams.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65/66 licenses or equivalent professional experience (required).
  • Florida 2-15 Insurance license or equivalent professional experience (required).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert knowledge of internal technology platforms (e.g., CRM, Portfolio Management, Annuity Order Entry, etc.) and lead training efforts for team members.
  • Oversee all team documentation and internal recordkeeping in compliance with firm requirements.
  • Ensure proper execution and processing of new account openings, transfers, performance reporting, and operational deliverables.
  • Coordinate unit workflow tasks related to financial planning, investment, insurance, etc.
  • Lead implementation of service model enhancements and operational improvement initiatives across the unit.
  • Act as a primary liaison for clients, ensuring consistent, timely, and high-touch service.
  • Oversee onboarding and servicing for new and existing clients, including meeting preparation, follow-ups, and reporting.
  • Manage sensitive client escalations and ensure appropriate and timely resolution.
  • Partner with Advisors and team to ensure clear communication, scheduling, and alignment with client goals and service expectations.
  • Oversee investment, insurance, and estate planning processes, including communication with clients and attorneys as needed.
  • Ensure all client communication and touchpoints are documented and followed through with professionalism and care.
  • Directly supervise the Unit’s team (e.g. Client Service Associates and administrative professionals, etc.).
  • Lead team goal setting, performance evaluations, and accountability tracking.
  • Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to strengthen team skills and succession planning.
  • Serve as the operational leader for large or multi-advisor units, managing cross-functional workflows and aligning daily execution with long-term strategy.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding processes for team members and ensure integration into firm culture and practices.
  • Promote a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture and maintain alignment with PWA’s values and service standards.
