The Business Manager will play a key role in building and scaling the Mid‑Market business, directly supporting the Head of Business Expansion, Mid‑Market in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility role. This position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, supporting growth initiatives through rigorous analysis, business case development, project management, and operational enablement. The successful candidate will help translate strategy into action, supporting leadership and the underwriting field organization as the Mid‑Market platform continues to grow and evolve. What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Executive Support: Act as a strategic partner to Mid-Market Leadership Team to provide operational, project, and strategic support aligned to growth initiatives. Data Analysis: Analyze financial and non‑financial data—including financial results, KPIs, competitor intelligence, and industry insights—to assess business performance, key drivers of results, and support business case development and strategic decision‑making. Business Case Development: Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders and Mid‑Market Leadership to prioritize initiatives and deliver data‑driven recommendations that inform investment decisions supporting profitable growth and operational excellence. Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent initiatives by prioritizing workstreams, aligning cross‑functional teams, establishing execution roadmaps, and driving progress against defined milestones. Communication & Change Support: Develop and deliver clear, consistent communications across the underwriting unit to support change management initiatives and enable understanding and adoption of new processes and ways of working. Reporting & Storytelling: Prepare and present leadership‑ready materials that clearly articulate strategy, insights, rationale, and recommendations to executive audiences. You will report to the Head of Business Expansion, Mid-Market – Growth Office. What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience in a business management, chief of staff, or analytical role within the insurance or financial services industry. Desired Skills and Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights. Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and business case development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable to engage across all business functions and at all levels in the business Robust presentation skills and an ability to facilitate and build consensus Excellent project management and organizational abilities. Ability to work self-directed and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ability to easily flex with changing workloads and prioritization Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus. The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 120,000 – 180,900. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. Requirements
