About The Position

As a Business Manager on the Business Management Portfolio Services team, you will own and evolve landowner and community engagement activities across a portfolio of operating while also playing a key role in advancing land focused initiatives and technology-enabled processes. This role blends traditional landowner management with process optimization, financial acumen, data visibility, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring our team operates more efficiently, consistently, and at scale. You will serve as a bridge between field execution and strategic transformation, helping implement new tools, improve workflows, and elevate how we manage land-related activities across the portfolio.

  • Comfort working with data, financial analysis, systems, or technology tools

  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination/ execution and execution of third-party crossing requests, easements, encroachments, and road use agreements
  • Lead coordination/ execution land lease extension efforts across the portfolio, ensuring alignment between Business Management, Legal, and Development.
  • Respond to landowner issues and coordinate with internal teams to resolve concerns in a timely, respectful manner
  • Plan and execute landowner engagement events (e.g., dinners, site visits) in coordination with internal teams
  • Handle land-related ad hoc requests and drive cross-functional resolution
  • Support land focused initiatives focused on standardizing and improving land-related processes
  • Partner with internal teams to design, document, and implement standardized processes (e.g., dinners, landowner issue tracking, lease management)
  • Drive adoption of new tools, templates, and ways of working across the team
  • Help build and maintain data visibility across landowner activities (issues, agreements, engagement touchpoints)
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements for tools and reporting
  • Manages and improves the generating asset or upstream/midstream assets P and L including optimization of asset interaction with energy markets
  • Completes budgets and monthly forecasts, financial analyses, ad hoc reports, and modeling
  • Ensures compliance with power purchase agreements, land leases, financings and regulatory requirements
  • Works with teams throughout the company in a coordinator capacity
  • Maintains close working relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Monitors project operations
  • Conducts analysis on issues impacting operations and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Assists with value-added projects such as supporting regional leadership in the development of strategic plans, mergers and acquisitions, project development, asset optimization, restructurings and building relationships with off-takers, landowners, and state and local regulators
