About The Position

As a Business License Administrator at Honeywell, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) regarding business licenses and renewals. You will manage the full licensing lifecycle across jurisdictions, including applications, renewals, audits, documentation, payments, recordkeeping, and compliance with State/Province, County, and City regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining existing licenses, developing licensing strategies, and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance. In addition to individual contributor responsibilities, you will act as a day-to-day coordinator for the licensing team, supporting workload management, handling escalations, and partnering with business stakeholders. This role reports to the Americas Compliance Manager and is based in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in licensing or related roles
  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting and overseeing other team members
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and use of SAP (ERP)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a centralized database of business licenses and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business licensing inquiries, requirements, and application guidance
  • Manage the full license lifecycle, including evaluating existing licenses, processing new applications, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating renewals
  • Partner cross‑functionally with business, legal, HR, and compliance teams to assess licensing needs
  • Monitor and verify subcontractor licenses and qualified individual certifications
  • Provide training and guidance to business teams on licensing procedures and requirements
  • Coordinate day‑to-day workload, task prioritization, and knowledge sharing within the licensing team
  • Act as the first point of contact for business and internal escalations, resolving issues or escalating as needed
  • Represent the licensing team in Business Line calls, providing updates and communicating action items
  • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and consistency
