As a Business Lending Operations Specialist, you will: Assist the credit union in meeting its overall business plan goals and maximizing loan profitability within the capital risk limitations of the credit union. Assist in expanding credit product offerings and create efficiencies in the credit union’s credit delivery and risk monitoring processes. Perform routine and complex duties related to business loan applications and boarding and generates complete loan documentation packages for all types of loans, reflecting a strong working knowledge of regulations relevant to commercial and real estate lending. Support the credit request process. Input applicant information such as borrower information, loan purpose, SIC and CRA codes. List loan amount, terms, grade, purpose, collateral and account balances. Order preliminary reports including, but not limited to, title, flood, UCC, Secretary of the State. Run credit reports on current or prospective borrowers as necessary for all related interests. Conduct account research to update member’s complete credit union relationship, demonstrating proficiency in using the credit union’s core system to gather data. Review loan approvals to ensure information is complete and follow up to obtain missing data. Input data and generate loan documents on the loan documentation system or word processing software ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy and all terms of approval. Prepare and send commitment, engagement, action and decline letters. Board completed loans on the credit union’s core system and loan documentation software system. Set up and maintain credit and other files for documentation and compliance, vehicle title work, and UCC filings. Work with insurance policies and related reports. Contact agents and work closely with loan officers and members to ensure proper insurance is received and maintained. Process commercial and real estate loan payments and advances. Analyze and process all incoming draws, review documentation for proper approvals and make loan disbursements in accordance with contracts. Process interest payments from the member’s interest reserve. Monitor collateral addendas and other tickler systems to ensure proper receipt of UCC, Deeds of Trust, and Title Policy filings and other documentation. Close paid loans and terminate security interest in collateral when applicable. Process various loan reports and callbacks, correcting loan accounting system errors as necessary. Sort and distribute daily and monthly loan reports to applicable branches or departments. Prepare documents and review externally-prepared documents for Small Business Administration (SBA) loans ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal regulations. Respond to member inquiries regarding credit union services and/or account discrepancies. Obtain and route necessary information to support departments for extensive account research and/or adjustments. Work closely with other departments in obtaining information and ascertaining necessary corrections. Coordinate a response to member inquiries and ensure prompt answers. Calculate loan pay off amounts for all types of loans and prepare payoff statements for approval, prior to distribution. Assist in cross-training loan servicing personnel in all loan servicing functions. Perform official notary services as required.
