About The Position

The Early Career Program is designed to be a highly visible experience. Through a hands-on approach, you will learn various parts of our business and gain technical knowledge of our converting and mill operations. Graphic Packaging interns are assigned a mentor and have opportunities to network with other colleagues and team members in the organization. During your time in the program, you will lead individual and team projects and have an opportunity to make in-person presentations. At Graphic Packaging, your creative ideas and diverse inputs are what keeps us growing. We're looking for great people to play on our winning team. Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Desire to work on projects.
  • Coachable.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Self-starter, self-directed, and able to take initiative.
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly to analyze data.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in internships, co-op assignments, summer jobs, volunteer work, or leadership roles in student organizations.
  • Work experience related to field of study.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about the packaging converting process while supporting manufacturing, quality, safety and other important functions within our plants.
  • Provide support to the assigned Department Managers.
  • Solve problems and make good, timely decisions.
  • Exhibit company core values and be a change agent for continuous improvement.
  • Work on process improvement projects.
  • Assist in driving best practices in safe operations.
