About The Position

The Business Intelligence Specialist is part of a collaborative team responsible for driving success and profitability by delivering data-driven services to customers. This role involves defining BI initiatives, gathering requirements, designing visual analytics, partnering with IT, developing code, creating documentation, and deploying and maintaining applications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
3-5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence or data analytics.
Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift.
Must possess visual acuity to perform essential job functions.
Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment.
Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Analyze diverse data sources and documentation; organize findings into cohesive, actionable formats.
Design and develop data visualizations using QlikView and Spotfire.
Identify and define technical and functional requirements, resources, and processes.
Create specifications, deployment plans, system manuals, and other technical documentation.
Follow project management and software development processes to improve product and service quality.
Write and optimize SQL queries; prepare reports and analyses using tools such as Cognos, Spotfire, QlikView, and R.
Provide application maintenance and enhancement support.
Conduct user acceptance testing and produce supporting documentation.
Facilitate design review sessions with analysts and stakeholders across departments.
Ensure data validity and reliability for accurate reporting.
Test new application and system features for performance and usability.
Maintain and update documentation for BI systems and processes.
