About The Position

Proskauer is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Manager - Foundation to be responsible for the firm’s experience management platform, Foundation, and for advancing the firm’s matter intelligence strategy. This individual will ensure that Foundation is optimized, integrated, and widely adopted, driving measurable business impact and return on investment. The role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate with lawyers, business professionals, IT, and leadership to ensure the platform supports client development, marketing, and firm growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing, business development, or marketing technology within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Direct experience with Litera Foundation strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of law firm operations, practice groups, and client needs.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and data governance principles.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and influence stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with third party data platforms, such as Pitchbook, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Lex Machina, Newsdesk and other resources that offer integration solutions a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Foundation Oversight & Strategy Serve as the business owner and daily administrator of the Litera Foundation platform.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with firm goals, delivering enhancements and upgrades in a timely manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement to maximize platform usability, adoption, and business impact.
  • Champion Foundation as the central hub for matter and client experience, preparing for ongoing and future integrations with internal and external databases.
  • Configure and optimize the platform in line with data governance best practices, ensuring reliable search, reporting, and workflow functionality.
  • Collaboration & Integration Partner with departments across the Firm, including Marketing & Business Development, IT, CRM, Finance, and Knowledge Management teams to maintain accurate matter, client, and people data.
  • Translate business needs into workflows, configurations, and solutions within Foundation.
  • Work with IT and vendor teams to manage integrations, troubleshoot issues, and support data imports/exports.
  • Develop and enforce governance processes to ensure consistency and data quality across the platform.
  • Training, Adoption & Communication Develop training programs and resources for the business development, marketing, and communications and other business services team members.
  • Promote adoption and best practices through education, communication, and ongoing support.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders about system enhancements, business benefits, and the impact of Foundation on client service.
  • Reporting & Analytics Work with the Client Intelligence & Marketing Analytics team to create dashboards, reports, and analytics to support pitches, RFPs, proposals, and strategic firm initiatives.
  • Provide timely, accurate data insights that inform business development and marketing strategies.
  • Vendor & Industry Engagement Act as the primary liaison with Litera for product issues, upgrades, and enhancement requests.
  • Participate in Foundation user groups and industry forums to stay current on best practices and new capabilities.
  • Administration & Projects Maintain documentation, administrative processes, and stakeholder communications related to Foundation.
  • Support scheduling, logistics, and reporting for Foundation-related initiatives.
  • Manage special projects as assigned related to experience management and marketing technologies.
