About The Position

Provide business intelligence development support using business intelligence and data analysis experience and platforms such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Tableau Develop custom reports, dashboards, and metrics from defined data sources Create data connections and publish user-created visualizations/dashboards to the Production environment Establish and maintain account security rules and access control rights to visualizations/dashboards, data connections, data files, and system objects for users and developers Provide technical guidance to end users and developers regarding how to best utilize and develop data visualizations based on best practices, in order to meet customer strategies and goals Disseminate updates and broadcasts to the supported directorate regarding relevant topics such as, but not limited to: training dates, newly available training materials, system outages and performance issues, and new software capabilities Ensure compliance with governance policies, information architecture and other organizational policies

Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • 5+ years of experience developing solutions based on business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau and/or similar tools
  • Essential knowledge of SQL for querying and retrieving data from databases
  • Expert level knowledge of developing Power BI reports to include dashboard visuals, custom graphics, calculated fields, complex measures, Power Query, DAX, and other reporting logic to meet the business needs; User of Power BI Desktop to develop and publish reports to Power BI Cloud
  • High level understanding of semantic models and how to manage permissions and connections to data external to Power BI to include but not limited to SQL, Excel, SharePoint Online
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of working in MS365 or DOD365J applications and data
  • MS365 Power Platform development and efficient and capable to develop custom power apps and power automate flows; Integration of power platform components with Power BI reports
  • Foundational understanding of QLIK Report development to include apps and data streams
  • Experience leveraging Microsoft technologies, such as ASP.NET, C#, SharePoint, or SQL Servers to improve business processes and practices
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with team members
  • Ability to work on-site or remote during core business hours (M-W 8 am to 4 pm)
  • Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Science (preferred)
  • CompTIA Security+ (Required)
  • Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate PL-300 (Required)
  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours
  • Able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Occasional extended working hours
  • No travel is expected for this position
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer and screen (mouse and keyboard)
  • Active Secret Clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience with Python, jQuery, AJAX, XSLT, JSON, and SQL Server database design, HTML, CSS (e.g. views, stored procedures, normalization, etc.)
  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals PL-900 (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals DP-900 (Preferred)
  • Qlik Sense Business Analyst Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities
