This role manages reporting intake, prioritization, and delivery execution. The BI Manager leads and develops a team of BI Developers, structuring delivery to scale with growing reporting needs while balancing standardized solutions and ad-hoc priorities. The role ensures dashboards and reports deliver simple, accurate, and operationally meaningful insights that support food service operations and account-level decision-making. The BI Manager enforces BI standards, ensures data accuracy, partners with stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans, and presents dashboards to drive adoption and actionable use of analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of BI or analytics experience, including 2+ years managing people or projects.
  • Advanced Power BI skills: DAX, Power Query M, semantic modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Strong SQL development experience (views, stored procedures, query optimization).
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Azure SQL, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data governance principles.
  • Experience using Monday.com, Jira, Asana, or similar tools for project management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including translating technical insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to balance roadmap delivery with ad hoc insights and rapid turnaround requests.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scaling or maturing a BI or analytics team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric tools, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and Warehouse.
  • Background in food service, hospitality, or retail environments.

Responsibilities

  • Translate the Director of IT’s BI strategy into a clear roadmap of dashboards, data models, and enhancements.
  • Lead development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards focused on operational performance, fulfillment times, queue times, and guest behavior.
  • Oversee integration of enterprise data systems (Azure SQL, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric).
  • Establish and formalize a consistent BI development lifecycle, including intake, requirements, modeling, design, QA, documentation, deployment, and long-term support.
  • Set and enforce BI guardrails and standards for semantic models, DAX, Power Query M, naming conventions, data validation, version control, workspace structure, and governance.
  • Lead the transition from today’s inconsistent BI development practices to a unified, disciplined framework emphasizing repeatability, quality, and scalability.
  • Implement BI governance: RLS, dataset refresh management, deployment pipelines, version control (GitHub), and structured documentation.
  • Ensure dashboards follow best practices: simplicity, accuracy, performance, and operational relevance.
  • Use Monday.com or similar project management tools to manage timelines, dependencies, and team workload.
  • Validate reporting for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with real operational workflows.
  • Manage, mentor, and scale a growing BI team, including hiring additional analysts and developers.
  • Prioritize and balance scheduled projects vs. fast-turn ad hoc requests.
  • Drive team development in Power BI, modeling, performance optimization, governance, and data quality practices.
  • Conduct technical reviews of dashboards, semantic models, DAX, Power Query, and overall design.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, including emerging capabilities in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Collaborate with operators, culinary leaders, finance, IT, and program managers to define reporting requirements and business KPIs.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment and standardization of metrics across the Eurest portfolio.
  • Present dashboards, insights, and recommendations to business owners, executives, and clients with clear, actionable storytelling.
  • Communicate technical concepts in simple, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage request intake, prioritization, and stakeholder expectations for BI initiatives.
  • Oversee Power BI workspaces, shared datasets, semantic models, RLS, and data refresh processes.
  • Support core business rhythms such as weekly operational reviews, leadership updates, and QBRs.
  • Drive cross-system data integration efforts in partnership with IT and analytics engineering.
  • Maintain structured processes for BI support, dashboard enhancements, and issue resolution.
