Basic FunctionResponsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing data for Facilities Maintenance. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst supports the department by performing data analysis, developing dashboards, visualization reports, and metrics that provide business insight and aid in business decision-making. Collaborates with subject-matter experts for objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in designing relevant reports and dashboards. Perform duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.Responsibilities and Specific Duties Collaborates with subject matter experts in creating dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs such as preventive maintenance compliance, energy efficiency, and asset lifecycle performance. Collects, cleans, and validates facilities-related data from Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, and other sources. Applies business analytical tools to collect and analyze data for use in project planning and decision-making. Analyzes trends in work orders, equipment downtime, and space utilization to identify cost-saving opportunities. Creates, automates, updates, disseminates, and communicates reports and analyses. Works with Facilities, Sustainability, and Finance teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights. Maintains documentation for Business Intelligence (BI) processes, data models, and reporting standards specific to facilities operations. Monitors data quality and troubleshoots issues related to facilities data integrity. Stays informed on Business Intelligence information best practices and emerging technologies relevant to facilities management. May serve as Project Manager for special projects as assigned by the VP Facilities Maintenance. Provides excellent customer service to METRO’s internal and external customers. Applies SMS (Safety Management System) methods and principles in daily routine and supports all aspects of the agency’s Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP). Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
