The HealthIT Data Modeling Services team is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst. This role involves working as a business/data analyst with strong user-facing communication skills, leveraging prior healthcare experience to develop and deliver semantic model solutions under occasional guidance. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into actionable insights, and deliver clear, concise data assets and data marts. Key responsibilities include analyzing data sources, designing, and developing the semantic layer to connect business language with technical data, ensuring data consistency, and documenting metadata, lineage, and business definitions. The role also requires collaboration with technical teams, data governance, and business stakeholders to ensure the semantic model meets business needs for self-service analytics. The analyst will implement small projects or components of large projects and solve medium to complex problems. HealthIT provides health information technology tools to support VUMC's mission of delivering personalized care, improving community health, providing transformative learning, and supporting compelling discoveries. These tools are either developed in-house or selected from cutting-edge solutions. The department's 500 colleagues provide ongoing support, ensuring tools meet evolving needs.
