About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the delivery of clear, reliable analytics and dashboards that support growth and operational performance. This role leads the development and ongoing management of business intelligence reporting across Trella Health CRM, Homecare Home Base (HCHB), and related data sources, turning complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership and field teams.  The primary focus is business intelligence, reporting automation, data accuracy and analytics to create trusted metrics and visualizations that improve performance, tracking, visibility to patient census and data driven decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4–7 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analytics, or a related role; healthcare, hospice, or home health experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering dashboards and recurring reporting using Power BI and Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, standardize, and manage KPIs and performance metrics, including referrals, admissions, conversions, census, run rate, territory performance, and operational trends.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, modeling, and charting).
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL to query, validate, and troubleshoot data.
  • Experience working with CRM and/or EMR reporting environments, preferably Trella Health CRM and Home Care Home Base (HCHB).
  • Familiarity with data integration and reporting workflows, including scheduled extracts, SFTP feeds, data refresh cycles, and collaboration with IT or data engineering teams.
  • Working knowledge of ETL concepts and data pipelines; experience with Azure-based data environments (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, ADLS, Data Factory, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and field audiences.
  • High attention to data accuracy, documentation, and repeatability, with a commitment to building trusted, scalable reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau to monitor key growth and operational metrics (e.g., referrals, admissions, conversions, census, run rate, and activity trends).
  • Produce standardized weekly and monthly reporting for executive leaders and field teams, including market, territory, referral source, and performance summaries.
  • Consolidate, validate, and reconcile data from Trella Health, HCHB, SFTP feeds, and internal sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency of key identifiers (e.g., provider IDs, NPIs, accounts).
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, including referral leakage, conversion changes, account performance, and territory effectiveness.
  • Deliver clear visual insights and concise narrative summaries to support executive reviews, operational meetings, and decision-making.
  • Develop reusable scorecards, templates, and reporting frameworks to promote consistency across markets and leadership levels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs, align on KPI definitions, and ensure analytics support business objectives.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support growth initiatives, market assessments, referral performance, and operational visibility.
  • Partner with IT, vendors, and business teams to support reliable data pipelines, including SFTP-based feeds and data ingestion processes.
  • Utilize Excel (pivots, formulas, lookups, modeling) to support analysis, validation, reconciliation, and prototype reporting.
  • Leverage SQL to query, validate, and troubleshoot data in support of BI development and reporting accuracy.
  • Document report logic, KPI definitions, and data assumptions to ensure clarity, consistency, and repeatability.
  • Maintain and optimize core Trella Health CRM configurations, including account structures, territories, workflows, and role-based access.
  • Support user adoption through training materials, quick-reference guides, and basic issue resolution.
  • Conduct periodic CRM data audits to improve data integrity and alignment with territory and account structures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
