Day in the Life of a Business Intelligence Analyst Collaboratively design, develop, and implement high-quality dashboards and analytical tools using available technology (e.g., SQL, R, Power BI, etc.); when appropriate and feasible, incorporate advanced analytical methods. Collaboratively design, develop, and implement data models for visualization and self-service consumption. Collaboratively enhance the enterprise-wide user experience through improvements to site/content user interfaces, training, support, & documentation. Collaboratively design, test, and implement improvements to BI processes & architecture. Contribute to the design and communication of best practices for BI processes and architecture across the organization. Translate technical and business needs; liaise between IT and business to optimize tensions/tradeoffs. Support senior stakeholders with effective communication on metrics, benchmarks, and KPIs, with a special focus on business performance and outcome modeling. Education and Experience requirements: 3+ years of experience in business/reporting analyst role required. Healthcare experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, or other relevant subject matter, or equivalent in ongoing self-education or commensurate experience. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, will have demonstrated experience supporting key business decisions through detailed analytics, and will thrive in a culture that fosters corporate, professional, and personal growth mindsets. Proficiency in data visualization methodology and BI tools, such as Tableau and/or Power BI. Advanced-to-expert level use of Power BI preferred. Proficiency in data transformation and modeling methodology within database systems and architecture. Proficiency with SQL or other query languages. Familiarity/experience with Agile process. Project management skills preferred with strong focus on use case building, requirements creation, and milestone-driven delivery. Customer service focus backed by excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present findings to higher-level personnel. Hours and Schedule This role operates Monday through Friday. The position is hybrid and will require that the candidate can come into the office in Greenville, SC for meetings as needed.
