About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst at Stella-Jones is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. This role primarily supports the corporate Supply Chain organization, bridging business processes and technology to ensure accurate design, implementation, and optimization of reporting solutions across multiple functions, including procurement, finance, and broader supply chain operations. This is a newly created, individual contributor role joining the Supply Chain team within our Operational Innovation & Excellence Center (OIEC) team and will be based onsite with a hybrid work schedule at our Lenexa, Kansas office. Travel is expected to be up to 15% across the US and Canada.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast-paced environment collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to achieve results
  • Strategic planning/thinking skills coupled with analytical and execution skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced data functions in Excel
  • Ability to translate data into decision making
  • Understanding of supplier capabilities and marketplace
  • Competent in ERP systems (ideally SAP)
  • Process oriented and driven
  • Experience working with supply chain or operations data and business processes in a manufacturing, distribution, or related environment
  • Knowledge of Power BI and data visualization

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support operational and strategic decision-making across the end-to-end supply chain
  • Develop and deliver actionable insights that improve performance in areas such as planning, inventory, sourcing, production, and distribution
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve data quality, visibility, and usability
  • Validate project scope, assumptions, and deliverables to ensure analytical accuracy and alignment with business priorities
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand current (“As-Is”) processes and define future (“To-Be”) reporting and analytics needs within the supply chain organization
  • Document workflows, data dependencies, and business requirements to support system design and process improvement initiatives
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting that enhance operational visibility across supply chain functions
  • Support the implementation and optimization of BI and reporting solutions within SAP and other enterprise systems
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver effective analytics solutions
  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs and drive measurable value
  • Support adoption of new reporting tools and data processes through training, documentation, and ongoing user support
  • Assist in change management efforts related to system enhancements, new dashboards, and process improvements
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with supply chain strategy, operational efficiency goals, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen data-driven decision-making across the supply chain organization
