Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors in Business or Finance and 8 years of business intelligence or related experience
  • BI Toolsets - Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos Analytics, Tableau, Salesforce Reporting, or similar
  • DB Querying - Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM Db2, MySQL, Microsoft Access
  • Ability to read, write and debug more advanced/complex SQL queries (sub-queries, self-joins, stored procedures - required)
  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint) - advanced Excel skills required. Microsoft Visio for DFDs and source-to-target mapping exercises (required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Master in Computer Science or Statistics preferred and 10 years of business intelligence or related experience
  • Familiarity with best practices on the creation and development of standard reports, KPIs, and Dashboards with filtering, drill-down, alerts, scheduling, and automated delivery capabilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - (including excellent presentation skills to senior leaders and larger audiences).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Organized, demonstrates initiative and is detail-oriented.
  • Proven problem solver and strong descriptive and diagnostic analytic skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize their own work with minimal direction to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  • Extracts knowledge and insights from data in order to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis, and/or visualization techniques.
  • Provide predictive analysis, business intelligence, pattern recognition, operational effectiveness, and/or economic forecasting
  • Provide fact-based objective recommendations to the customer and personnel related to assessment activities, findings, and results concerning operational capabilities, limitations, and operational impacts.
  • Participate In large cross-functional teams and initiatives and provides recommendations and insights to Senior Leadership in order for them to make strategic decisions
  • Train end users how to do "self-service" reporting and train/mentors peers.
  • Maintain documentation and training materials related to both reports and reporting environments (data definitions and source-to-target mappings)
