The Pima County Health Department is seeking a passionate and organized Business Intelligence Analyst I as a Public Health Data Manager. As a member of the Public Health Informatics and Analytics Team, you’ll help shape how data is collected, managed, and used to guide decisions that improve the health of our community. You’ll be at the forefront of building a modern, reliable data infrastructure, ensuring that clean, accurate, and well-governed data is available to support public health programs and initiatives across Pima County. In this role, you will lead efforts to streamline data workflows, manage ETL processes, and maintain datasets that are both accessible and trustworthy. You will work closely with teams across the department to integrate new data sources, develop clear documentation like data dictionaries and lineage maps, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA and tribal data sovereignty requirements. Your collaboration with IT will help optimize backend systems, while your preparation of clean datasets will enable business intelligence and analytics staff to focus on turning information into actionable insights. This position is ideal for someone passionate about data-driven problem solving and eager to grow their career while making a meaningful impact on public health. If you have experience in data management, analytics, or public health—and a strong desire to help transform raw data into tools for change—we invite you to apply today and join us in building a healthier, data-driven future for Pima County. This is an in-office position located in Tucson, AZ, and cannot be remote. The Pima County Health Department is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
