Applicants must be within driving distance to our Alpharetta, GA office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week. A day in the life. As a Business Insurance Production Associate, you will: Basic working knowledge and understanding of commercial property/casualty coverages and services Process and handle daily tasks and activities, including but not limited to: Issue Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards as needed Order loss runs and prepare loss summary as needed Request and update certificate holder lists Prepare premium summaries Input applications into AMS 360 (agency management system) Utilize and manage ImageRight tasks Process and issue binders, invoices, and claims instructions Order client changes and corrections from the carrier, follow up, review for accuracy and invoice Complete initial policy reviews Prepare surplus lines tax filings Check and process final policy audits Responsible for reconciling billings and correcting accounting issues Provide premium breakdowns as requested Secure and review Experience Modification Factors Enter data (as needed) into AMS 360 and verify for accuracy Clearly document files to include changes made throughout the policy term Provide assistance in the new business and renewal process (including marketing) as requested Know available markets for various industries and coverages, effectively negotiate placement with carriers, develop relationships with carriers, evaluate coverages/cost Basic level of understanding of commercial rating concepts Present proposals to prospects and clients, ensure all needed coverages are included to protect the client, close the sale, deliver policies Handle complex processing and claim situations with client and/or company personnel Assist clients with policy, coverage, and service issues as needed Proven ability to organize and manage day to day and special activities in order to meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to understand and execute oral and written instruction Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Account Executive, Account Manager, Producer, or others Attends unit meetings, education workshops, carrier functions, staff meetings, and social events, as needed Protects the confidentiality of all client information Follows Standard Operating Procedures Promote agency and insurance industry in the community Maintain professional, technical and industry knowledge by pursuing designations, attending educational classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies and company training meetings on new products Network, create relationships with potential future clients and carrier partners. Foster existing relationships with consistent and effective touch points. Shadow existing producers on client and prospect calls and meetings
