About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant Military Apprentice as part of their Wealth Investment Management (WIM) Operations division. This Business Execution team provides oversight and alignment across individual disciplines including risk and regulatory activities, custody operations, and wealth servicing products. The team ensures consistent standards, strong controls, and high data integrity across these areas. They partner with leaders and specialists to monitor procedures, resolve issues, identify gaps, and promote compliance, thereby strengthening end-to-end quality and enhancing service reliability for internal partners and clients. The role is part of a U.S. Department of Labor accredited Apprenticeship program designed for professional development, including on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship, to prepare the apprentice for a post-apprenticeship role as a fully functioning Business Execution Consultant.

Requirements

1+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Enrollment into Wells Fargo’s DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required
Apprentices are considered full-time employees within the program

Nice To Haves

Military experience in any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or Reserves
Experience supporting Operational Risk, Technology Risk, or Compliance Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
Sound analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including importing, exporting, and manipulating data
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications and use search tools to validate information
Collaborative team player with flexibility to work across all organizational levels
Self‑starter who works independently, proactively, and creatively while using sound judgment
Experience identifying, recommending, or implementing process improvements
Willingness to move forward with Citizen Process Development
Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and growth, with a natural drive to push boundaries, elevate standards, and proactively seek out new skills, ideas, and ways to improve

Responsibilities

Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root-cause analysis of data following all compliance and business metrics
Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work
Review and analyze strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations
Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables
Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of the support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business
Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business
Collaborate and consult with senior leaders and executive management
Perform a variety of structured duties, including a combination of on-the-job training, coursework and mentorship, under the supervision of a hiring manager, program manager and a mentor
Uphold and adhere to Wells Fargo and the Apprenticeship Program, and follow Wells Fargo's prescribed policies, procedures, and employee expectations
