Business & Entrepreneurship Program Manager

SailFutureSt. Petersburg, FL
110d$60,000 - $70,000

About The Position

The SailFuture Academy is a purposefully disruptive, private non-profit high school in St. Petersburg, Florida, focused on developing an exceptional model for system-involved youth and families experiencing extreme poverty. The Academy aims to make exceptional education accessible to hard-to-reach youth, empowering students to achieve economic freedom and social mobility through a pragmatic high school experience. Students engage in foundational academic and character development curriculum in grades 8-10, participate in an in-house internship in 11th grade, and an external apprenticeship in their 12th-grade year. A unique aspect of the program includes a 7-week, international rite-of-passage sailing expedition onboard a 100’ school ship. The Entrepreneurship Instructor will play a crucial role in the Business and Entrepreneurship curriculum, which is central to the educational approach at SailFuture Academy. The curriculum emphasizes a hands-on approach, encouraging students to experiment and create their own classroom business ventures. Instructors will supervise projects where students design, market, and sell products, and will also guide students through their business plan thesis projects. The curriculum is developed in-house, allowing for collaboration with school leadership and significant creative freedom in its delivery.
