About The Position

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be at the forefront of GPiLEARN+ growth initiatives. This role combines strategic new business generation with hands-on sales execution. You will identify opportunities, deliver compelling demos, craft proposals, negotiate deals, and secure new customers for our digital learning platform and content solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, relationship-focused sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technical, and consultative sales environment. Location: Remote (with travel as required)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in a commercial or related field, or 8+ years of sales/marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated success in professional B2B sales—experience with product + service sales preferred.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence in delivering demos to technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, work under pressure, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical, planning, and relationship‑building skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Asset Management, or heavy industry is highly preferred.
  • Background in eLearning, Energy, SaaS, industrial training, or technical solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business & Growth
  • Source, build, and manage a strong personal sales pipeline.
  • Identify new logo opportunities across targeted industries and regions.
  • Execute the full sales cycle—from lead generation to proposal, demo, negotiation, and closing.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Represent the GPiLEARN+ Brand
  • Deliver high-quality product demonstrations and articulate solution value clearly and confidently.
  • Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and tailored solution recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, understanding their technical training, LMS, and workforce development needs.
  • Strategic Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with decision‑makers, executives, and technical leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Commercial Leadership, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Maintain post‑sales communication to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Help shape go‑to‑market strategies, new industry penetration plans, and channel partnership opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate CRM data including leads, contacts, opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Participate in regular sales reviews and pipeline meetings.
  • Stay current on GPiLEARN+ product capabilities, LMS features, content libraries, and integration opportunities across GP Strategies’ offerings.
  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
