About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Business Development Representative to start beginning to mid-March 2026! The Business Development Representative (BDR) serves as the primary field representative within an assigned territory, responsible for driving retail sales growth and expanding market presence within convenience store (C-Store) accounts. This role focuses on acquiring new accounts, growing existing relationships through upselling and cross-selling, and executing company sales strategies and priorities in the field. The BDR also acts as a liaison between customers and vendors to resolve account issues and identify new opportunities. This is a field-based position reporting to the Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in C-Store, DSD, or CPG sales preferred.
  • 1–3 years of account management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently across a large territory.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Conduct 10–12 store visits per day within the assigned territory.
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in C-Store, DSD, or CPG sales preferred.
  • 1–3 years of account management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard new business accounts for company products and services.
  • Visit assigned C-Store accounts to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
  • Prospect and develop sales opportunities at independent, unassigned C-Store locations.
  • Build in-depth knowledge of products and services and effectively communicate value to decision-makers.
  • Maximize sales revenue and profitability during each account visit.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and account visit reports.
  • Analyze territory performance to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address territory gaps and drive business growth.
  • Own and manage territory performance and strategy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
