About The Position

We’re seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at Route Consultant Purchasing Alliance (RCPA)! At RCPA, we help businesses across the country in the logistics industry save time and money through our fuel card services and trusted vendor partnerships. The Business Development Representative is responsible for engaging potential customers, qualifying leads, and providing an elite level of support and service while promoting all of the opportunities our organization can offer them.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of business development or sales-related experience
  • Understanding of B2B sales cycles and consultative selling techniques
  • Familiarity with fleet management and fuel expense optimization is a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce is a plus)
  • Persuasive communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational abilities
  • Strong problem-solver who manages competing priorities effectively
  • Adaptable team player

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with fleet management and fuel expense optimization is a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 60+ daily outbound prospecting calls to fleet and logistics business owners
  • Build rapport with decision-makers and assess their fuel management needs
  • Strategically reach out to & follow up with leads promptly, including pre- and post-events, online and phone inquiries, as well as cold calls
  • Identify and actively prospect clients in new industries and markets
  • Maintain client relationships during onboarding to ensure successful activation
  • Log and track activity in Salesforce
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales targets and account activation goals
