About The Position

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a major role in growing our sales. You will handle a mix of tasks: responding to incoming leads and actively reaching out to find new business in your assigned vertical. We are looking for someone who is quick to respond to interested prospects but also willing to do the hard work of cold calling and emailing new potential clients. This role pays a base salary plus commission, so your earnings reflect the effort and results you bring to the team.

  • Agility: The ability to switch quickly between responding to warm leads and reaching out to cold ones.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; able to listen well and explain value clearly.
  • Resilience: High energy with the ability to handle rejection and keep going.
  • Organization: Strong time management skills to handle many tasks at once without losing track of details.
  • Curiosity: A genuine desire to learn about customer businesses and solve their problems.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems (HubSpot/Salesforce) and modern sales tools.
  • Local: Fayetteville, AR-based and available to start immediately

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer-facing experience (Sales, SDR, or BDR experience preferred)
  • Startup and/or B2B SaaS experience
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRMs
  • Prior experience working with agricultural professionals (land brokers, appraisers, ag bankers, or investors)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Business, Sales, or Tech focus preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Pipeline Generation: Specific responsibility to drive pipeline through both inbound lead qualification (responding to marketing leads) and outbound prospecting (cold calling and emailing).
  • Research & Strategy: Map out target accounts in your vertical and use data to figure out how Acres can solve their specific problems.
  • Outreach: Use phone, email, and social channels to contact prospects and explain the value of Acres.
  • Qualification: Conduct calls to understand a prospect's needs and decide if they are a good fit for us.
  • Organization: Diligently track all activity and lead status in the CRM to ensure accurate reporting.
