We are seeking a driven, commercially minded Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our international FX payments team. This role is responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities, engaging prospects in global markets, and supporting the growth of our cross-border payments business. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and thrives in a high-growth environment. You will play a critical part in expanding our footprint in key verticals such as import/export, e-commerce, technology, professional services, logistics, and more.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or junior sales role—preferably in FX, fintech, payments, SaaS, or financial services.
  • Strong communication skills—clear, confident, and persuasive.
  • Experience with sales engagement tools (e.g. Cognism, Outreach, Sales Navigator).
  • Ability to quickly learn and explain financial products and payment workflows.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and resilience.
  • Organised, data-driven, and comfortable working to measurable KPIs.
  • Ability to operate in an international environment and speak with global clients.

  • Understanding of FX and cross-border payments.
  • Understanding of international trade, supply chains, or import/export business models.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, scaling business.
  • Track record of meeting & exceeding targets or performance metrics.
  • Curiosity about financial markets and a desire to build a career in FX sales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Identify and research potential clients across international markets using tools like LinkedIn, CRM databases, and market intelligence platforms.
  • Conduct outbound cold calls, emails, and social outreach to build a healthy top-of-funnel pipeline.
  • Qualify inbound leads to determine fit, business needs, and FX exposure.
  • Maintain consistent activity levels and hit KPIs for calls, emails, and meetings booked.
  • Sales Support & Opportunity Development
  • Book high-quality discovery meetings for Direct Sales Team.
  • Understand and articulate the company’s FX payments solutions, value proposition, and differentiators.
  • Gather preliminary information on clients’ currency needs, payment flows and pain points.
  • Log and track all interactions in the CRM (e.g., Freshworks).
  • Work closely with senior sales to strategically move opportunities forward.
  • Market Knowledge & Collaboration
  • Stay informed on FX market trends, global payment regulations, and competitor offerings.
  • Identify emerging industries with strong cross-border payment challenges.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and content targeting specific verticals.
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, market signals, and product needs.
