About The Position

Our mission at Renterra is to modernize the $80B+ heavy equipment rental industry. Tactically, we've built an end-to-end platform that massively improves the way rental companies run their businesses. We are a fast-growing, venture-backed business that has developed an amazing product and brought it to market with great success in ~4 years since launch. We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team and help be an engine for growth following our recent $9M Series A. Your primary responsibility will be lead generation to build our fast-growing customer base and drive revenue growth for Renterra. This role offers opportunities for quick promotion within the company for top performers.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B technology sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with potential customers
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proactive approach to lead generation and cold calling
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of the heavy equipment rental industry is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Cold Calling: Conduct high-volume cold calling to engage potential customers and schedule product demonstrations
  • Effectively communicate Renterra's value proposition and address initial inquiries from prospects
  • Consistently hit cold calling and demo setting activity metrics
  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential customers within the heavy equipment rental industry
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through outbound sales efforts
  • Utilize various prospecting methods, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach
  • Customer Engagement: Qualify leads and understand their rental software needs
  • Schedule product demonstrations to showcase the benefits of our modern rental software
  • Follow up with prospects to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to coordinate meetings and maximize demo attendance
  • Provide feedback to the product team based on customer interactions to help improve our offering
