We are looking for our Business Development Representative at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Behavioral Health Hospital. Methodist Health System, the region’s most established not-for-profit provider, has partnered with Acadia Healthcare, the nation’s largest standalone behavioral health company, to open a new 96-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This marks Acadia’s first acute psychiatric facility in Iowa, expanding much-needed access to behavioral health services across Southwest Iowa and the Greater Omaha area. Just minutes from downtown Omaha, Council Bluffs blends small-town charm with city convenience—offering affordable living, great schools, and a strong sense of community—making it an ideal location for this important new facility. Scheduled to open in Summer 2026, Methodist Jennie Edmundson Behavioral Health Hospital will offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient care for adults, seniors, and youth, including programs for mood disorders, dual diagnosis, geriatric psychiatry, child & adolescent care, PHP/IOP, and ECT. The facility will play a vital role in addressing the region’s significant behavioral health bed shortage. What would you do in this role? Expand lines of service as defined by management by developing and retaining referrals from physicians and other key non-physician referral sources

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required .
  • Two or more year s’ experience in s a les and/or marke ting .
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile, where facility requires .

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related health or social services field preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with hospital discharge planners, social wor kers, case managers, physicians and management, as well as provide education staff to generate referral sources.
  • Develop strong relationships with key referral sources.
  • Identify opportunities for partnering and growth.
  • Manage leads f rom referral sources and ensure efficient admissions process for clients.
  • Increase the number of referral sources within a facility such as with physician, social workers and discharge planners.
  • Coordinate with clinical assessment team on referrals for admission based on the services provided by the facility.
  • Educa te patient s , families, community and other referral sources on programs, services and amenities provided within facility .
  • C oordinate the completion of admission process and ensure appropriate resources are obtained.
  • Travel frequently within community, scheduling meetings and developing contacts/referral sources.
  • Document referral sources within appropriate contact management system.
  • Develop events and educational f orums that demonstrate programs and provide an opportunity to identify potential referral sources.
  • Maintain existing referral relationships.
  • Utilize analytic tools, such as Salesforce, to effectively plan and evaluate activity to optimize results.
  • Represent facility in prof essional forums and communicate mission in all outreach interactions.
  • Create outreach initiatives that will regularly communicate facility mission with referral sources through phone, email, e-blast, written notes, events, networking and other professional activities.
  • Provide the facility or receiving team with appropriate information to facilitate admission when necessary.
