About The Position

As our Business Development Rep, you'll be responsible for planning your day and calling on properties throughout the northern neighborhoods of Chicago (e.g. River North, Wicker Park/Bucktown, Lincoln Park, Logan Square, etc) to schedule jobs for our technicians to repair. Why Surface Experts Surface Experts is an all-inclusive surface repair provider. We repair small damage to hard surfaces like Floors, Countertops, Tubs, Cabinets, Furniture … almost everything! We are an environmentally-focused small business that aims to reduce the waste of time, money, and landfill by repairing, rather than replacing, these surfaces! No prior industry or formal sales experience required. Requirements

  • Coachable — Eager to learn, open to feedback, takes responsibility for results, and willing to run a proven sales playbook
  • Curious — Active listener who is comfortable asking questions and seeks to serve customers by first understanding them and their needs
  • Motivated — Independent and driven person who isn't satisfied settling and strives to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Detail-Oriented — Executes daily habits (routing, documenting metrics, sending follow-ups) that turn activity into revenue

Responsibilities

  • Map your route, planning on ~15 on-site visits throughout a variety of northern Chicago neighborhoods (e.g. River North, Wicker Park/Bucktown, Lincoln Park, Logan Square, etc) to schedule work for our technicians
  • Log notes/metrics in our software and coordinate with the Owner/Sales team
  • Light admin and prep from your home, before daily driving to visit properties in various neighborhoods each day
  • Weekly sales coaching, ongoing support, and regular reviews to track overall performance to sales goals
