About The Position

As our Fun Express Business Development Representative , you will be responsible for working directly with large existing and prospective Fun Express customers nationwide to increase the revenue and profitability of Fun Express.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five years B2B sales or major account management experience
  • Minimum three plus years program sales and/or consultative sales experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
  • Strong telephone prospecting and appointment setting skills/experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to utilize strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in the office, from home or while traveling
  • Ability to provide clear direction to support teams when delegating work
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to handle customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to work extra hours when needed
  • Ability to perform job duties in a safe manner

Responsibilities

  • Meets or exceeds established sales and activity goals set by the Fun Express Division
  • Manages key, strategic industry and customer relationships (typically account groups over $1,000,000 annually) that consist of hundreds of buying entities primarily by phone (90%) with occasional travel and trade shows (10%)
  • Prospects for new larger opportunities ($20,000+) by calling and following up with sales leads generated through marketing channels and industry partnerships
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of client specific sales strategies - This includes interaction with other areas of the company (product development) and outside vendors as needed
  • Has ultimate responsibility for industry marketplaces and technology connections that support customer purchase transactions
  • Analyzes market and sales data in addition to conducting regular business reviews to implement sales growth strategies with key customers and prospects
  • Plans marketing strategy for and attend tradeshows and industry events
  • Travels to new and existing clients as needed (not to exceed 10% of the time) making formal sales presentations to senior level decision makers
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of competition, pricing, strategies, handling of customer needs and problem resolution
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of competition's primary products and markets to analyze impacts on Fun Express' business in competitive markets and to learn and service changing and expanding customer needs
  • Provides key reporting on monthly basis to include but not limited to; Revenue Forecasts, Account Reviews, and Activity Metrics, Travel and Expense Reports
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Abides by all policies and procedures of Fun Express and Oriental Trading Company
  • Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
  • Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors
  • Attends company functions, meetings, seminars, etc. which may not impact their own customer base directly but will positively impact the company as whole
  • Documents sales efforts for current customers, prospects and sales campaigns through Salesforce.com and/or CRM platforms
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
