About The Position

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to help drive commercial adoption of our foundation models for structured data. As one of our first GTM hires, you'll be at the forefront of building our sales pipeline and connecting with technical buyers who are reimagining what's possible with AI for structured data. This role combines outbound prospecting with inbound lead qualification. You'll spend your time identifying high-potential accounts, running initial discovery conversations with data scientists and ML engineers, and qualifying opportunities for our sales team. This is a foundational role where you'll help create the playbooks, messaging, and processes that will define how we bring breakthrough AI to market.

Requirements

  • Comfortable selling technical products and ability to quickly learn and understand technical concepts to speak credibly with data scientists and ML engineers
  • 1-2 years in sales development, BDR/SDR roles, or customer-facing roles at tech companies
  • Track record of high achievement - whether in academics, sports, previous roles, or personal projects - that demonstrates drive and ability to excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with technical audiences
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and take initiative

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Generation Drive outbound outreach to high-potential accounts through email, LinkedIn, and community channels
  • Execute targeted campaigns and iterate based on what works
  • Qualify inbound leads and identify opportunities worth pursuing
  • Discovery & Qualification Run discovery calls with data science and ML teams to understand their needs and use cases
  • Articulate the technical value of our foundation models in clear, compelling terms
  • Identify pain points and match them to our product capabilities
  • Own opportunities from qualification through signed contract
  • Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team
  • Technical Engagement Understand our product deeply and speak credibly with data scientists and ML engineers
  • Learn to navigate conversations with data scientists, ML engineers, and technical leaders
  • Contribute to refining our messaging and positioning based on what resonates
  • GTM Building Help create outbound collateral, technical explainers, and short demo scripts
  • Contribute insights from conversations to refine ICP, messaging, and playbooks
  • Collaborate with founders and GTM team to iterate on what's working
  • Support community-driven growth efforts (events, online channels, research sharing)
