About The Position

Cyclomedia is seeking a Business Development Rep Lead to guide and develop a high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) team responsible for generating qualified pipeline and accelerating revenue growth. In this role, you will combine hands-on leadership with strategic execution—driving outbound sales activity, strengthening collaboration with Marketing, and ensuring disciplined CRM management and reporting. This is a critical role for scaling our go-to-market efforts and building predictable pipeline across our Local Government and Commercial markets. This position is based in our Middleton, WI office and follows a hybrid work schedule. Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in B2G or complex sales environments.
  • 2+ years of experience leading BDR, SDR, or inside sales teams.
  • Proven experience partnering with Marketing on lead generation campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage pipeline metrics and reporting.
  • Experience with HubSpot and Dynamics 365 CRM platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into Local Government, Enterprise, or complex buying environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own BDR-sourced pipeline targets across Local Government and Commercial markets.
  • Translate revenue goals into measurable activity plans including calls, meetings, and qualified opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality opportunity handoffs to Account Executives.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives including product expansion, upsell opportunities, and targeted market programs.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Align BDR outreach strategies with campaign messaging and timing.
  • Track campaign performance and conversion metrics to optimize results.
  • Provide reporting and insights to Sales and Marketing leadership.
  • Ensure strong feedback loops between BDRs and Marketing to improve targeting and messaging.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the BDR team to achieve activity and pipeline goals.
  • Establish clear KPIs for activity levels, conversion rates, and opportunity quality.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews.
  • Foster accountability, discipline, and strong CRM hygiene across the team.
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management in HubSpot and Dynamics 365.
  • Provide weekly reporting on pipeline development and activity metrics.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to increase team efficiency and scalability.
