The Business Development Manager is responsible for the future success and growth of the panel shop business. Serve as SME and field specialist for the P/S business. This includes component products, pricing, lead times, construction methods and application engineering expertise. Represents the panel business unit with clients as a senior representative of Expanse. Team with Sales organization (if applicable- based on geography) to pursue panel opportunities in national markets with both new and existing clients. Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Panel business in existing and target markets as agreed with VP of Sales. Ensure all projects and major customer activities are documented in CRM tool Provide consultation and resources to improve Panel shop operations at all facilities. Maintain existing and develop new client relationships. Support client relationships and manage conflict resolution. Has primary responsibility for estimating/quotation completion. Develop vendor relationships and price agreements. Team with John Sutton as necessary to support this effort. Provides input as requested to supporting teams: Inventory, Engineering, MFG, Field Sales, QC, Accounting, and others as needed. Periodic customer service calls to clients for verification of customer satisfaction Work with Sales team to communicate value of our panel offerings and understand market opportunities. Synthesize market needs to help develop new product/services Engage in cross selling efforts where possible with other Expanse business units. Work with clients to develop a forecast of bid and awarded work planning. Create schedules of customer requirements and coordinate with Operations and Estimating to finalize planning. Participate in annual business review to insure alignment with corporate goals and initiatives. Ensure manager is fully and accurately informed of all projects, internal as well as customer issues impacting the perception of the local, national, and global reputation of the firm. Coordinate and collaborate with Operations and Estimating to finalize production planning and confirm with GM approval.
