About The Position

At Stancil Services, growth begins with relationships — and relationships begin with trust. The Business Development Manager drives the expansion of Stancil’s residential and custom-home business by identifying new opportunities, cultivating builder partnerships, and leading sales initiatives across all divisions. This position plays a key role in increasing market share, enhancing client experience, and promoting Stancil’s reputation for reliability, integrity, and craftsmanship. Success requires a balance of strategic vision, consultative selling, and collaboration with teams across estimating, operations, and field management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of account management, sales, or business-development experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Nice To Haves

  • Residential construction industry experience highly preferred.
  • Sage and CRM-system experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract close and operational handoff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new residential and custom-builder clients.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships at all levels of client organizations.
  • Call on production and custom builders regularly to maintain and grow account relationships.
  • Resolve client issues promptly and professionally, reinforcing confidence in Stancil.
  • Identify new builder accounts and market opportunities to expand territory reach.
  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy in partnership with the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Communicate pipeline status, progress, and revenue projections proactively.
  • Partner with estimating, operations, and field teams to align expectations and ensure seamless handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation within the CRM platform to track opportunities, activities, and forecasts.
  • Monitor competitors, pricing structures, and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Educate clients on Stancil’s processes, capabilities, and competitive differentiators.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between estimating, field, and billing teams to support cohesive service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Attend builder associations, networking functions, and community events to represent Stancil and strengthen relationships.
  • Achieve or exceed goals for revenue growth, new business acquisition, and gross profit.
  • Support the development of new marketing strategies and outreach initiatives as directed.
  • Provide insights on client satisfaction, market conditions, and product positioning.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
