About The Position

Architectural Fabrication (Arch-Fab) is a leading manufacturer of aluminum shade and architectural products for the commercial construction industry. Their purpose is to create a place where people can thrive, starting with their own team, fostering a highly collaborative environment built on values that identify ideal team players. This Business Development Manager role is a key strategic position for an experienced sales professional focused on building deep, lasting partnerships. As part of a strategic realignment, the position is elevated to intensely focus on a curated portfolio of approximately 20 of the most important and high-potential general contractor accounts. The role moves away from high-volume, transactional bidding to high-value, proactive relationship management. The mission is to serve as a true partner to clients, increase the win rate on strategic projects, and drive sales growth within the assigned portfolio.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of B2B sales or business development experience is required.
  • Direct experience in the commercial construction industry, specifically selling to and managing relationships with General Contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural plan sets.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam for plan review.
  • Proven expertise in strategic account planning, consultative selling, and complex negotiation.
  • Professional polish and confidence to schedule and participate in executive-level meetings.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own, develop, and execute strategic account plans for your portfolio of ~20 key accounts to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for your clients. While our Operations team executes the work, you will remain strategically involved throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a consultative partner to ensure an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
  • Dedicate your time to high-value activities, including on-site client visits, networking, and building relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Facilitate and lead annual business reviews with executive stakeholders from both Arch-Fab and our clients to solidify partnerships and plan for mutual growth.
  • Utilize your industry expertise to read architectural plan sets, qualify opportunities, and identify projects that are a perfect fit for our capabilities.
  • Maintain meticulous records of account activity and sales forecasts within our Salesforce CRM.

Benefits

  • Strategic Impact: You will own a vital portfolio of clients and be empowered to make a direct impact on the company's success.
  • Be in the Field, Not a Factory: This is not a "bid factory" role. We want you out of the office building relationships. While some local travel in DFW is expected weekly, travel outside the metroplex is not anticipated to exceed 20%.
  • A Thriving Culture: Join a team that genuinely lives its core values and is dedicated to creating a positive, supportive work environment.
