A Business Development Manager works to improve the company's market position and achieve revenue growth. This position works to achieve long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates, closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The Business Development Manager works with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities, maximizing revenue. To achieve this, they need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow the business in the future. Business Development Managers will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and optimistic. This includes identifying and communicating to production any specific customer preferences or service requests and immediately working to provide solutions to any customer complaints.
