About The Position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and supporting the growth strategy of Prestige. This role partners closely with the estimating team to follow up on job bids, track proposal outcomes, and ensure strong communication throughout the bidding and onboarding process. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and excels at building productive internal and external partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple development opportunities, clients, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and follow‑up skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with estimating teams, construction, facilities services, logistics, or related operational industries.
  • Understanding of bid processes, RFPs, and proposal tracking workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with operations and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in alignment with Prestige’s operational goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify growth areas.
  • Assist in developing customer solutions, and strategic proposals.
  • Partner closely with the estimating team to follow up on submitted bids and proposals.
  • Monitor bid status, proposal outcomes, award notifications, and feedback from prospects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and CRM updates related to job bids and pipeline activity.
  • Support the estimating team with clarifications, client communications, and required information to complete bids.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Conduct regular follow‑ups with prospects to move opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and networking events as needed.
  • Provide timely, professional communication to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations to align business development efforts with operational capacity and goals.
  • Communicate client needs, bid feedback, and market insights to leadership and operations.
  • Facilitate smooth handoff of new business to operations, HR, and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and report weekly and monthly metrics to the VP of Operations.
  • Track performance against business development goals, including bid follow‑up, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance bid efficiency, win rates, and client engagement.
