About The Position

Would you like to lead and grow as a Business Development Manager focused on helping our customers accelerate the adoption of Amazon Web Services through our Training & Certification services? Do you have experience building, developing and selling skills transformation programs, certification plans, SaaS training platforms for channel training and internal training? Do you deeply understand how AWS training and cloud skills transfers to our customers can help them get started quickly on our platform, dramatically improve their operational efficiency, and help them leverage new AWS services to innovate? Can you lead a team to evangelize these benefits and many more to both internal and external customers? If so, this role might be an amazing growth opportunity for you. AWS is seeking a Business Development Manager to help us maintain our leadership position as our customers' preferred cloud platform. The role focuses on evangelizing and selling our Training and Certification services. This team, which you will be a part of, is critical to helping our customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud and Gen AI services. The ideal candidate will have clearly documented success in owning, defining, and executing programmatically against the needs and strategic priorities for our customers. Specifically, experience with technical certification programs, authorized channel programs, and enterprise skill programs, which provide the right candidate the foundation for success. They should be familiar with customer challenges related to cloud and Generative AI adoption, and have experience helping customers overcome those challenges. They should deeply understand the business benefits of cloud computing compared to client owned/managed on-premise data center resources. They can clearly demonstrate through their career that they have built deep customer trust and delivered big results by helping create, sell and execute long-term transformational training programs. They will be willing to operate both tactically, but can quickly zoom out to lead the organization with big, strategic thinking. They will have strong business acumen and regularly demonstrate to senior leadership their operational rigor. This candidate will have the opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of our Training and Certification services. Therefore, experience influencing product roadmaps will be important.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business agreements development, negotiation and execution experience
  • 3+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS market sales

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience setting up and managing a sales pipeline
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Responsibilities

  • Navigate and map complex commercial enterprise customer organizational structures and identify key decision makers to sell AWS Training & Certification services.
