As our Business Development Manager, you’ll lead the way in expanding our client base, building meaningful relationships, and helping communities experience better. About the Role The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, nurturing, and securing new client relationships with residential community associations. This role is equal parts relationship-building, strategy, and execution — working to acquire new HOA clients while strengthening ties with existing ones. You’ll collaborate closely with internal departments and help shape a scalable, marketable sales strategy for continued growth.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of outside sales experience with a strong close rate.
  • Proven ability to prospect, network, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Self-directed with excellent time management and follow-up skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Understanding of HOA management, Board dynamics, and service expectations.
  • Ability to pass a background check and possess a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified HOA prospects.
  • Network within assigned territories to connect with Board Members and HOA decision-makers.
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through advertising and referrals.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to identify prospects’ needs, concerns, and goals.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations that clearly demonstrate our value.
  • Close sales with new HOA clients and transition them to internal Community Management teams.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with current clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover future opportunities.
  • Support the President in building repeatable, scalable marketing and sales processes.
  • Review client base annually to identify pricing adjustments and contract updates.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales pipeline updates to the President.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials and participate in company and industry events.
