Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience (Jan/San and Food Service ideal)
  • Strong verbal, written, and relational communication skills, with the ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels, including customers, senior management, client representatives, and the public.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively / Ability to multitask.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Develops a model in which sales are developed through Harbour to other branches within the region through product and sales training and systems.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute sales goals for the region.
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Develop specific plans to ensure growth, both long and short-term
  • Maintain current knowledge of supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Review and revise sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture opportunities.
  • Accomplish regional sales staffing objectives by selecting, recruiting, training, assigning, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Expand customer base by mentoring district sales representatives, building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Assist sales personnel in enhancing and refining their techniques: manage, develop, coach, control, and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and the monthly sales target.
  • Educate the sales team with presentations by providing regular meetings, strategies, and seminars.
